December 28, 2021 - Biltmore Conservatory |
||||||
We arrived at the Biltmore House ahead of schedule, about an hour before our timed entry time. So we walked through the garden to check out the Conservatory. Here, Lynnette stands in front of the Conservatory. |

Well, you can't expect the gardens to be much in late December.
We entered the Conservatory and encountered this elaborate model of the Biltmore House.

Everything was decorated for Christmas.
There is not much I can say about what follows except that it was beautiful -- probably the best conservatory I've ever seen.
One wing was called the "Hot House".

Lynnette knows the names of many of these flowers; I know none of them.

|
||||||
We are now entering Orchids country!

Entering the Cool House. Which turned out to be only not as warm as the Hot house, but still warm.
Where's Lynnette?

|
||||||
After the Conservatory, we headed for the house, which you can see in the background.
The Biltmore gardens and grounds were designed by the famous Frederick Law Olmstead.
